A goodly turn out with some new faces about.

In good news, a new cafe has opened at Mt Claremont that stays open until 6.00pm!

Sue, Dean, Rob and I had a play of this under the suggested rules, which seemed a little too short - Rob won convincingly. We had another game using the Scrabble express rules which was more satisfying. Sue won that one, and then we all Enjoyed The Game. Yum!

Rob and I introduced this old favourite of ours to our unsuspecting friends. I always find it such fun. Dean won this one.

Had an exciting game of this where Terry showed how wrong he can be and still win, and I showed how to bounce of islands and do a great deal of damage to my boat.

I taught the game to William, Kylie and Annelise, and despite some terrible die rolling early on, we had a memorable game. Highlights included a massive fight for a treasure under Stonehenge by all players, guarded by a U boat in an underground lake. Both Kylie and William were well place to grab this 3 danger treasure, when Annelise swooped in a stole it from under them! William got revenge by stealing Annelise's tommy gun. Meanwhile I had been racking up fortune with secret deliveries, and had a surprise win by drawing the Hong Kong delivery card while sitting in Hong Kong and rolling 5 fortune! Game lasted 2 hours, and everyone liked my painted pieces. Thanks for the fun game everyone!

It was a 5 player game with me (Baltar), Tyrone (Starbuck), Ernest (Helo), Rich (Lee), and Mark (Cally). I will let Rich or Ernest tell you the rest since they've both been jogging everything down like mad during gameplay. Suffice to say the highlight (and should be in all subsequent ruling) is that Ernest drew BOTH cylon cards

A good little game between tyrone, me and ernest. Was a fun little game with just about the right length. Definitely a screwage game as well.

I think none of us are anywhere near halfway to Carthage by the time visigoth came, but I was just slightly ahead of the others so I've won, which I suppose isn't much to brag about because we all fail to escape

A quick 6 player game of this with Me, Warren, Tyrone, Ernest,Philip and Adam.

Interesting game as we all fight to be front and there's intentional blocking done by some players that make this evern more satisfying (or frustrating).

Fun little game, and frustration had by all

Same group as Get bit.
I think Warren won with 49 because he got quite a few good deal with his cheapest houses, and he had like 7 dollar spare (out of 14!), pipping 2 others who are on 48 dollars at the end.

With this game due to get its annual outing in a 15 player three board spectacular at next month's Claremont meet, we thought we better brush up on it - seeing as how we will need to teach it.

Mark snuck (as in past tense of sneaky) a victory after convincing Ernest to derail my thrust to the throne.

Keep an eye on Roger and Christophe next month, they got some practice in.

Roger and I taught this to Christophe.

The Railways of England and Wales group split up after the game and a splinter group of us went in search of El Grande.

Two new players took our numbers beyond El Grande but into the Railways of the World realm.

Christophe demonstrated how good Roger and I are as teachers, tying for first place.

I don't know who won or who else played as I did really badly.

Jocelyn, Priya and I attempted to conquer America with trains. After poorly investing in the entire red railroad, Jocelyn and Priya developed the blue train all the way to Chicago.

In the end, Wabash helped but not enough to give Jocelyn the lead, Priya 2nd and me last.

Fun 're-learning' game for us all

Nixon (Mark) and Kennedy (me) faced down across America. The east quickly fell to Kennedy but due to problems in the South Kennedy was precluded from going there and Nixon scooped up all the Southern states. Kennedy then made inroads into the Mid-West whilst Nixon broke into the East. Towards the debates, Nixon looked to be a sure winner but then the debates favoured Kennedy on Civil Rights and the Economy with Nixon taking out Defence.

in a fight down to election day, Kennedy staged a massive comeback to take back the East but would it be enough?

In the end it came down to Texas which was in the Nixon camp as Kennedy received 262 votes, 7 shy of the magic 269 needed for victory.

History was rewritten and the Cuban missile crisis ends up destroying the world ...

A six players game, Kim and me and.....Sorry I'm very bad at names =_="

I won by one $1! Though 4 out of 6 are new player, only Kim and me played before and Kim got second. We both had 14 cities (endgame condition in 6 players game), and we both can power 14 cities, Kim had $2 left and I had $3.....lucky!
