I recently got this and must say it is really a lot of fun. I love the theme and it really makes you think. With some minor variations, it plays extremely well with 2. I think those who like st. pete would especially like this game; although the 2 games are quite different, they just have a similar "feel" to them. Beware of the English rules, for there is a translation error or 2 .

Though I didn't love this game after the first play, I found myself thinking about it a lot later, which is usually a good sign. Hence, I look forward to more plays. The mechanics are quite interesting and the packaging and pieces are nice, though I wish the pirate ships were miniatures instead of paper. Makes a good travel game, since it comes in a small box.

I just recently acquired this as well. It is a nice solid game that is kinda similar to Lost Cities, though with a little more depth. For those (like me) who like Lost Cities but feel it is a little too simple, this is a nice alternative. This also makes a great travel game.

Still my all time favorite game and currently my only 10 rated game. I really don't know exactly why I like this game so much; the bottom line is that it is extremely fun to play. Note the similarity between the st. pete and shadow of the emperor pics. I am hoping the latter game (as discussed above) will become a 10.

Fell off the list:
Sadly I didn't find myself really liking this game much even after repeated plays. Though this has one of the best, most humorous themes of all, the gameplay is really weak in my opinion.

Still a nice solid hex-and-coutner war game which I still recommend. I don't find myself wanting to play this as much, since the new-ness has worn off. Also, I am learning ASL SK#1 which overall, is more interesting.
