In this list:
Games that you were tempted to create a prototype for some reason. State the reason if you want, but you don't have to.
Note:
I could be whole game or just some of its components.
The theme of the game is another alternative using the same the same rules.

I do not expect good ratings for this one, but this is very interesting and helpful for some, I guess.

I made a prototype changing the theme from expeditions to fantasy quests. Use Magic Realm stuff for the cards.

I made another one with tourism as the theme (monuments, cityscapes, castles, people of the world and art).

I made my own cards with different picture clips for the balloons and laminated them. For the hops I used similar pieces like the one in Battleline, but smaller and I call
them flags, too.

Inspired by this, I wanted to create a gladiator-esque version. Players would draws cards for their attack, there would be differents gladiators with different abilities... possibility to disarm the opponent etc... it all sounds really cool in my head!

Anyone is welcome to kick me in the butt to make me continue this project sitting on the corner of my table! Joining knowledge to create a nicer game is also possible

I created my version about three years ago and have been play testing it since. It's gone through a good bit of refinement and I'm happy with the results. I've never actually played Swashbuckler but absolutely love the theme of the game. There isn't quite the freedom of action in my game as there is in Swashbuckler, but you can still throw daggers or mugs of beer, bash your opponent with a chair and even swing from the chandelier. I'm thinking about doing some more blind play testing soon. If you're interested in assisting, contact me through the Geek.
