Gotta hit this one again, since we played it slightly wrong the first time. I admit I was somewhat skeptical of this game at first sight on the Geek, but after playing, I've decided I love it, despite its somewhat abstract mechanics. Any game with cool Buddha Bitz can't be a bad thing!

I just acquired this through a recent Pass a Game Around session, and it has yet to hit the table. I hope I can bring our avid wargamers around to better enjoyment of the auction mechanic, since it's prevalent in so many Euros.

Ken finally got his from Germany, and we played it last session. Once again, Kev was unequivocal. Victory in this game seems more elusive than most other Knizia games (at least to me)! Ken and I really dig this one, though.

This may be the main event. Everybody seems to like this one, despite its backstabbing and bloodthirsty nature. I'm still working on a set of Event cards to throw some more chaos into the mix.

Or this might be the big one. Everyone seems to like this one, though I may introduce some house rules to even out the distribution of Oil Certificates. Also I recommend ignoring the "13th Eagle Event-Game Over" rule, and playing until ONE player is eliminated. Less anticlimactic that way, but will take longer. The pic reminds me a bit of our group, lots of AP (with this game, anyway) and lots of "sweating blood".

Or if eliminated, I'd play this one in a heartbeat. And Ken seems determined to overturn my unbeaten status at this game. My favorite small Kosmos game for sure.

In the end, we bagged the big elimination games and played this to close the night. I was severely punished for my loyalty to the Cyclops! Kev squeaked one here.
