I get so tired of geeklists where people say "List of Games I just Bought" or "Games I happen to Own" etc. etc. How boring is that? So in protest I am going to take 1 game I own, my least favorite of all time, and enter as many different ways as I can think of before I slump over unconscious on my keyboa..........................................

I own Fluxx. What is your opinion of the fact that I own this game? Hell, what is my opinion of your opinion of the fact that I own this game....

I bought another copy of Fluxx at Essen. In german this game is known as Die Fluxxerer.

This copy of Fluxx I found for 16 pennys and a pack of sun-ripened raisins at a loca thrift store, what a great bargain!

This copy belongs to my grandmother and she will only play it with me on halloween every 3rd leap year.

I have a strange ritual I perform when playing this copy of Fluxx ...I throw up before, during, and after game play.

I got 8 copies of this game for 1 million canadian dollars. Oh, the 9th copy they threw in as a bonus.

This game plays best with 2 players.

This game is terrible with 2 players.

I made my own copy of this game out of recycled hot dog buns, although the american buns are much flimsier than the wonderful german buns ..they are so sturdy.

This game represents where I work. In a building.

My ultimate trade!! Somebody please trade me a fluxx game for my fluxx game.

This is one of the foremost games that has the word FLUXX in it's title.

The wooden bits in this copy of fluxx are over produced and tacky.

I handicap my 2 year old by hiding him in the closet when we play this game... and he still beats me.

Games that are similar to Puerto Rico - Fluxx is for sure. Every round that I play another game besides fluxx I put a token on top of Fluxx. So far there are about a million tokens on top. It's really starting to look attractive as a choice....

Games that have a dice tower!! - Not Fluxx, thats for sure!
Unless the FLUXXTOWER counts ...crap i guess it does...

Games that helped me learn a foreign language = Fluxx helped me learn the meaning of the german word Schiesse as well as the french word Merde!

I don't like the game.

It is an elimination game. You can be killed and out of the game before you even have your first turn. The game can then continue without you for over an hour. There's an unusually high amount of downtime, and player actions are somewhat forced and limited by the size of the laser rocket that you are forced to mount on the back of your head.

There's a lot of time spent simply grabbing those stupid carbon-coated bananas. Luck plays a very large part during the game, based on unavailable alibis, the ability to mine through the center of the earth, etc., and relies heavily on each player’s powers of telekinesis (and/or spiritual omniscience, which frankly, I find improbable and slightly presumptuous and stinky, anyway…) and whether those skills are balanced by spatial-relations skills and the ability to count past three.

I found gameplay tedious, repetitive and vaguely detached. Other than that, FLUXX is just awesome!!!

It's the first game I ever purchased.

It's my most recent order.

It's the next game that I want to get.

It's about to go out of print.

It is out of print.

It's about to be reprinted.

It was just reprinted.

It's the game I wish they would reprint.

This is the perfect game for nongamers.

I hate it when nongamers always drag this out at get-togethers. Please help nongamers find a real game and not this.

I have a first edition of this game, I have monitored the value of fluxx on Ebay for twelve months to see how the value of my investment has soared:

June 1st 2004:
Bought game from Ebay for £10, this is sure to be winner

June 2nd 2004: No first editions on Ebay today - my copy must be worth a fortune

. . .

December 26th 2004: The first "first edition fluxx" has come up for auction since I bought my copy. Dissappointingly listed as "unwanted christmas present" with a value of 50p. Still I'm sure the value of this will soon rise.

. . .

December 28th 2004:
Bid £1 on above auction to raise the value of my investment. Was promptly outbid by a friend of the person selling the game, also trying to inflate the price, no doubt. Woot!

December 29th 2004:
Have realised that if things continue as they are, my investment will lose a lot of value. Bid £12 for fluxx.

December 30th 2004:
I won the auction! I now have two first edition copies of fluxx, and the inflation on their value is more than 20%.

I suggest that you all go out and buy first edition copies of fluxx; this rare investment opportunity is not to be missed!

Bought this game with some birthday money from my wife at a secondhand shop with original wrap (the game that is, not the shop, although the shop did look quite clean). All cards unpunched cards and with the price tag still on but with the 8th Anniversary Velvet bag missing from the oversized box which was just too small for all the extra bits after they were bagged in magic card protective sleeves (which are necessary if you want to protect the parts after they've been painted).

We don't recommend using this game to entertain the kids of nongaming friends since the brats can eat them which results in a gastric refluxx messier than the beer and pretzels game that this complex monster is. Other reviewers mentioned the multivariable quadratic equations during play but I found that a biro, two pieces of string and a towel are all you need at first (at least in the upper 37th percentile of representative games played).

Our opinion of Fluxx is however in downward trend for the last month - unlike the savage and spectacular upward trend demonstrated by the new expansion "Gastric-Refluxx" as expressed in the pica-afflicted kids of our non gaming friends.

Overall a greatly competitive co-operative game for nongamers although the simplicity may be offset by the complexity of the variant rules for those who want a more multiplayer solitaire variant with good player interaction. Destined to be a classic with our group who are already tiring of the "game mechanic for the sake of using a game mechanic" random complexity of the highly thematically abstract tic-tac-toe (or "T-cubed" as we like to call it).
