I am always on the lookout for a bargain, and my gaming hobby is no exception. When cash is short, and I am in the mood for a new game, I hit the dimly lit corner of my local game store, where the budget games are held (i.e. Cheapass, Alien Menace, and Placebo Press). These are the ones I love to play. Feel free to add your favorites to the list.

My cousin introduced me to this wicked bit of addiction. Knowing that I like classic undead, and have a skeptical view of the fast food industry, he knew it was a perfect fit.

As a fan of Dr.Who, and a frequent Chrononauts player, this game caught my eye. The fluff level of this wee game is inversely proportional to the aggressiveness of the players.

Lunch time fun. Surprisingly politically accurate. Disturbing.

How bad a film can you make. Hollywood still has us beat.

The more players the better! I love all the head-chompin', rock-throwin' mayhem!

This game (not Settlers) is the one that inspired me to give modern board and card games another go. It's beautiful, and my wins show I still have the reflexes of a teenager!

Well I must say that my favorite cheap line games are definetly Adlung Spielens card games, which of my ultimate favorite so far is Meuterer. Magnificant game that costs not lots.

Who needs theme? A simple little game that plays in five minutes. It involves some strategy, but not enough to slow anything down. A great side-game for those times when someone needs to take a potty break.
Also, this is my very first contribution to BGG. Go me!

Adlung makes a few pretty decent games, my favorite are Vom Kap bis Kairo and Kathai, although many people do prefer Die Fugger.

OK, you do need to buy the base set which is normally priced. But once you do, you can add an additional deck for a pretty low price.

My favorite Cheapass game. Run around the mall, steal from the stores, steal from your friends, shoot your friends to get an extra turn, lots of fun.

BGG blurb:
"This small elegant game depicts the struggle of elves trying to outsmart and defeat a 40 foot, slow-witted giant named Thunderpumper.
"The giant is depicted only by his sandals as the elves work to tangle up his shoes and make him crash to the earth. In the meantime Thunderpumper is swinging his club and trying to stomp the pesky elves that have invaded his master's garden.
"The game fits in a ziplock bag with a color map of the garden, barely 2 pages of rules, and counters."
I played this one with my children when they were about 8 years old and they really liked it.

This game certainly has endgame issues, but for some reason we played it a lot. Always fun, though it gets pretty cutthroat.

I can't believe this isn't on the list. We played this a LOT as a filler...
Not THAT bad a game with the right group. Good to have fun with it.

Shouldn't you be playing a game with me instead of wasting time on the Internet?

Only $8 (US) and a pretty fun little game. It's also a good intro to hex-and-counter games, as it teaches you the mechanics without all of the confusion and details of games like ASL.
I also vote for Sergeants! in the Sand.

A very fun and quite brutal tile laying game. Plus you get to say agoraphobia a lot....

A fun little weird game...zombies and fast food?
I think it's the best of the zombie games from Cheapass. Always a hit with groups of four or more. Ya gotta love the illustrations.

My personal favorite of the Cheapass games. A very nearly perfect little card game...simple, fast, competitive, and visually well-designed. And now only four bucks! Why don't you already have it?
