A number of us have been playing Werewolf on the BGG Forums for months now. While it is a rather Geeky thing to do, it has provided me with some of the best gaming moments in recent memory.

Here is a listing of some good reasons you should be joining in!

(P.S. If you ARE interested in playing, head over to the PBEM/Werewolf Forum:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geekforum.php3?action=viewforum... )

There are usually 2-3 games in the signup phase at any one time and one of those games is usually geared towards New Werewolf Players.

BGG Werewolf Junkies, feel free to add your own comments and ideas!

If you have a Desk Job with lots of time on your hands and a good computer connection to the Internet, there are not many better ways to pass the time than a good game of Werewolf on BGG.

You can log once in a while and throw up a post or two (like Xandryyte) or you can live in Werewolfland and spend all of your waking hours analyzing who is lying and who is telling the truth (like... well, most of us...)

You can lie as much as you like.

As a matter of fact, it is rather encouraged.

No one will think less of you.

Werewolf lends itself well to adaptation to just about any storyline. We are currently in the 2nd Stage of a 5 Stage "Werewolf: Lord of the Rings" game and it is a ton of fun!

Other settings have included Arctic Research Stations, Laundromats, Arthur's Camelot, Discos, Alien Planets, Haunted Houses and a ton more!

It gives you an easily satisfied new addiction.

I've been so obsessed with reading the werewolf posts in an effort to prepare for my game (which doesn't start until NEXT FREAKIN' MONTH!!!) that I've momentarily forgotten to be depressed that I can't afford to buy every game on my wishlist.

You can also make such good friends, that even when you betray them, they will still vote you MVP and let you win a free game. The Camelot Legends themed WereWolf game that SilverPenny conceived and KakarisMaelestrom moderated was sponsored by Z-Man games and they provided a free copy of the Camelot Legends game designed by Andrew Parks. It was great fun! Thanks guys.

Exercise deductive logic to figure out who's telling the truth and who's lying. Practice the avoidance of inductive logic - deciding that someone is evil and finding examples to support your mistake.
