Here are the four games from a line produced in the 80's by FASA based on the novels by James Clavell. As far as I know, there were only four produced.

They all have one or more decks of cards that drive the game.

I'm not going to list the Shogun card game as I want to keep the list limited to the boardgames by FASA.

This is a standard "buy-sell-trade" venue with mechanics similar to some Euros, if on the light side. Buy your merchandice in China and sell it in England.

Produced in 1981

Create a net worth greater than the other players through stocks, wheeling and dealing. An interesting feature of this game is that it ends when the phase that eliminates any player is over.

Assume the role of one of five regents and win the game by increasing your control over the central Provinces of Honshu island while suppressing your fellow regents. The game is 12 turns, with each turn lasting six months of game time.

This is the only one that I don't have yet, so I'm not familiar with the gameplay or mechanics. Each player is a mercenary helicopter pilot leading missions in the revolution for a fat fee paid into his Swiss bank account. Gradually, one side of the revolution or the other will gain the upper hand and players may choose to declare loyalty to one side or the other in order to gain a cut of the revolutionary spoils.

Produced in 1986
