Fun two player game that gives enough strategies to play with experienced gamers and simple enough for non gamers as well. The Mechanic of having to do EVERYTHING in the game is a little annoying, but still doesn't take away from the game. Overall is still a fun game.
For a compact, 2-player worker placement game, it is hard to beat Agricola: ACBAS. For my taste, though, Targi is a superior game. In fairness, however; Targi is not a traditional worker placement game like Agricola: ACBAS. So, in someways, Agricola: ACBAS is a more impressive game than Targi because it fits the classic play of worker placement into such a compact game. Agricola: ACBAS is a great puzzle of a game that tends present more solutions than the player has access to. This means players are always so close to getting their "perfect" set-up, but unable to accomplish it due to the restrictions of the game. While this may sound frustrating, it actually creates a very fun level of tension. Truthfully, whether you win or loose in Agricola: ACBAS, you are able to sit back and feel some level of pride over what you were able to accomplish.
I thought this would be a great way to get my girlfriend into worker placement games (and eventually Agricola itself), and since I could just play it with her I wouldn't have to worrying about getting a bigger group together.
So why do I still own it?..
Sadly, we haven't cracked this one open yet, but I have played the iOS version many times and enjoyed it thoroughly, so this one ain't going anywhere.
