The purpose of this guild is first and foremost to provide a venue for free and in-depth discussion of board games and related topics. This is a community led forum with no affiliation to organizations other than BGG.

Deep Cuts - True gems that are found later in an album, a b-side. Rarely if ever played on the radio.

We like the classic anthems and the radio hits of board gaming, but we hold a special place in our hearts for those "deep cuts." Games that are sufficiently obscure, strange or difficult to get into so that they require some effort on the part of the participants. Features of these games include (but are not limited to) high information and calculability, significant management of player incentives, and large butterfly effects that reveal themselves through multiple plays.

Our aim is to supply specific conversation topics to focus discussions around but we encourage posters to go off topic as needed and pursue rabbit holes as they arise. All members and passersby should feel welcome to post threads in these forums. We want this guild to be inclusive, but we're not going to hold hands or feature moderation beyond what's already present on BGG.
