This version of Dungeons and Dragons was authored by Gary Gygax between 1977 and 1979 as a complete rewrite of the full set of the original Dungeons and Dragons rules, with an eye towards resolving inconsistencies and presenting a canonical form of the game. After the original edition of D&D was introduced in 1974, the game was split into two branches in 1977: the rules-light system of Dungeons & Dragons and the more complex, rules-heavy system of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D). In 2000 the two branch split was ended when a new version was designated the 3rd edition, but dropped the "Advanced" prefix to be called simply Dungeons & Dragons.

Called Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, or AD&D, it is now commonly called "1st Edition".

Due to the Old School Renaissance (OSR) Movement and the rise of retroclones, sourcebooks and adventures that were not specifically put out by TSR are now grouped under AD&D First Edition (1e) Compatible Products

1 Random Mapper Gamebox for AD&D 5e Appendix A
This is a CYBERBOARD gamebox for making dungeon maps in accordance to the random map maker in 5e Appendix A. (or not) It is simply a file to be used to make good looking maps for your computer BUT you can also screen shot them and MSPaint them and then print 8.5 x 11 to hand out or keep yourself. Cyberboard has a learning curve, but I have included all the items required.

7 AD&D character sheet
Growing up playing D&D in the '70s, I was obsessed with creating the "perfect" character sheet. The official ones put out by TSR at the time were a wee bit disappointing, and I thought I could do better, even with the crude tools I had on hand (and IBM Selectric and press type). Fast forward to now — every four or five years, a few friends and I will trundle out our old AD&D books to play for an afternoon. Recently, before we got together, I sat down with Photoshop and put together the ultimate player character sheet: that is to say, the one my 14-year-old self wanted all those adventures ago. It is based on one of the old TSR sheets, but fine-tuned with decades worth of design and gaming experience. Merry Christmas!
