It is the year 2279. Humanity has flourished on their homeworld, and decided to reach out for the stars as their numbers have grown among their prosperity. The Dragonfly project was created as a way to start anew on other worlds. Colonies have been seeded and quick-grown on far flung planets, and the reach of the children of Earth has stretched to places unknown. Many protesters have pointed to the nature of these projects- the fact that it is only the disenfranchised and downtrodden that volunteer for these great experiments- as evidence that we've not traveled as far away from our discriminatory roots as we'd like to think we have.
But the great accomplishment of being able to reliably reproduce these experiments in space, the few inspiring stories and the media coverage that ensues from those successes have all but silenced the detractors. But what really goes on in the creation of one of these colonies?
