The player characters are psychologically unstable teenagers tapped by a secretive paramilitary organization in order to pilot bio-mechanical monstrosities in humanity's last bid for survival. There can also be an adult PC in charge of herding the teenagers and directing them in combat. Secret and horrifying truths will be revealed, the players will descend slowly into madness, and everything will just keep tumbling, tumbling down.
A fan-created game in the setting of the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.
N.B.All versions of Adeptus Evangelion are heavily dependent on Dark Heresy (1st Edition); early versions of the game simply refer to the Dark Heresy rulebook for entire rules system. Succeeding editions of Adpetus Evangelion are decreasingly dependent, but the link is never fully broken.
Version 1.0 provides a single core book and a brief orientation guide
Versions 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0 provide two core books (one for Players; one for GMs)
"Borderline" was a split-off project occurring between Version 2.5 and Version 3.0, with one core book
