Paul Baldowski started gaming in 1984, playing initially red box Basic Set D&D, then GMing Middle Earth Role Playing and Call of Cthulhu. He acquisitioned a copy of Paranoia (1st Edition) from his brother.
While in school he wrote adventures and articles for Delusions of Grandeur (and, indeed, helped to photocopy the first issue). He ran fantasy and sci-fi play-by-mail games in the late 80s and early 90s, becoming the PBM column writer for Role Player Independent UK gaming magazine.
His first paid work in gaming came with the re-release of Paranoia in 2004, where he pulled together a couple of dozen pages of the core rules to assist Allen Varney. He became part of the Traitor Recycling Studio, contributing to several other Paranoia sourcebooks and missions, including writing The Underplex (a setting seeded by an entry in the Paranoia GM Screen supplement).
In 2008, he contributed to the content of The Maelstrom Companion, and continues to contribute to the expansion of the venerable Maelstrom system (published in 1984, it would seem to have been a good year for roleplaying).
Paul lives in Greater Manchester with his wife, two kids, and several pets.
