John McEwan (born in Idaho in 1941) is a Canadian game designer and sculptor who has been the owner and head designer of Reviresco Products, formerly known as McEwan Miniatures. John is the co-creator of the granddaddy of all science fiction miniature wargames, Starguard!, which he first published in 1974. John is also the sculptor of hundreds of wargaming figures many of which he still manufactures to this day and sells through his website:
John produces everything from 1/72 scale white metal figures and vehicles for Starguard!, white metal starships for Star War 2250 A.D., 1/72 and 1/64 scale historical figures and models of vehicles, artillery, and even multi-media kits of historical warships and civilian vessels, numerous 1/144 scale aircraft for the World Wars and conflicts between, and 54mm traditional toy soldiers. The game Starguard! itself is still in print in its latest edition, and has engaged players across North America and in Europe. His latest venture is publishing an upcoming set of "zombiecide" wargame rules for miniatures.
