This family of games was produced by WHA*T*HE*LL Productions and Pantherine Writers Group in 1993. Each RPG includes a tiny 2.2" x 3" rule book, an equally tiny adventure book and an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of charts and a blank map grid. All contents were packaged in a small, zip-lock baggie. Some copies included a tiny 20-sided die (numbered as a d10).
Each game covers a different genre (horror, fantasy, etc.) using the same game system. A character is represented by their "Calling in Life" (CIL, equivalent to class or profession), three attributes ("Body," "Mind" and "Spirit") and one or more "Special Effects" (SFX, skills and powers). A character's attribute score is compared to the difficulty an action on a chart and a d10 is rolled to determine success.
The WHA*T*HE*LL RPGs are written in a tongue-in-cheek style and are loaded with silly names, gags and puns. The games are all uncredited and the creators are unknown.
