From the convention description:
AKA: A day in the life - eller den dag verden satte ud
Det hele starter med et biluheld. Tidligt om morgenen i den værste myldretid. En mand i jakke og slips - måske fra the House of Lords.
"I read the news today, oh boy", synger John Lennon sarkastisk, mens balancen forrykkes. Nogle når på arbejde, andre gør ikke. Uheldet er startskuddet, og snart er hverdagen en kedel af fragmentariske møder.
Fra morgen til aften. En ganske almindelig dag og alligevel så bestemt ikke. Tolv menneskeskæbner hvirvles sammen i storbyens smeltedigel.
"He didn't notice that the lights had changed", klinger Lennon videre.
Dagen er i gang.
Tolv spilpersoners jagt efter lykken og kærligheden. Fire spillere. Tilfældets optik? Skæbnens planlægning? Er mødet flygtigt? Eller er der en sammenhæng? Magnolia, Short Cuts og Beatles i skøn forening.
Translates to:
AKA: A day in the life - or the day the world stopped
It all starts with a car accident. Early in the morning in the worst rush hour. A man in suit and tie - perhaps from the House of Lords.
"I read the news today, oh boy," John Lennon sings sarcastic, while the balance changes. Some make it to work, others do not. The accident marks the start of the day, and soon the day is a kettle of fragmented meetings.
From morning to night. An ordinary day, yet so definitely not. Twelve human destinies swirled together in the urban melting pot. Dreams, hopes and selfish thoughts blended beyond recognition by the randomness of logic. Momentary encounters, conversations and choices that affects the next moment.
"Carpe diem" the man with the tie shouts, a moment before his vehicle crashes into the catastrophic hell. A moment of inattention while he rings the mistress. "He didn't notice that the lights had changed", Lennon sings.
The day has started.
Twelve persons hunt for happiness and love. Four players. Incidence optics? Destiny planning? Is the meeting momentary? Or is there a link? Magnolia, Short Cuts and The Beatles in perfect harmony.
