(from the back of the book)
Great Britain 1890 - The Victorian age at its
climax. Queen Victoria reigns over an empire in which the
sun never sets. Never again will the UK be so powerful as in the time of the gaslight. But when the fog sets over London and the gas light shines green, horror creeps unseen through the city. Occult organisations seek power and influence, the mythos spreads out in the fog, and only the player characters discover the great secrets outside of the shine of gas lanterns.
This source- and adventurebook volume contains a description
the Victorian world with its society, the clubs and
occult circles. Special chapters deal with the Cthulhu Mythos, the terror in the colonies and gamemaster hints for playing in the gaslight epoch. An elaborate booklet provides bizarre places in Britain and could be used straightforward as a handout.
Three adventures are also included:
In "Plant Y Daear " the characters discover the horror in the wilds of Wales and have to make a terrible decision.
In "Zeitenwende" ("turning point") all London goes crazy, and only the characters can stop the horror.
And finally in "Das Geheimnis der Spektralträumer" ("the Mystery of the spectral dreamers") the characters are on the track extra dimensional creatures roaming through London.
