Does anyone have any suggestions how I would remove the stickers from my Hive pieces? I want to re-theme the wood set since I'll be getting a bakelite set and I have a couple of freinds who don't like the bugs in the game...

Soaking the pieces in warm water with a bit of dish soap should break up the glue. Then you should be able to dab them a bit to take off the excess water and scrape the remnants off.

I wouldn't think you'd want to soak wood in water.

I'd scrape off what you could, sand, and then reseal after you put your new theme on top.

Oh, I didn't know the wood was untreated. Well, there are sticker remover substances available that might do it.

You could try heating them up a bit with a hair dryer to soften the glue.

Why not just apply your re-themed stickers to the back side? The bugs will get a little scrapped up from sliding them on the table but you don't care about them anyway, right?
