Did you realize that the pattern on the backs on the basic Carcassonne tiles are a stereogram? While playing on BSW next time, look at the background as if it's a stereogram. It becomes 3d.

Any sort of tessellated pattern can be viewed as a stereogram. I remember the wallpapers in two different bathrooms of the house in which I grew up. One had flowers at regular intervals and one had diagonal stripes forming diamonds. I used to cross my eyes when I went in to the bathroom to get that 3-D effect.
