Curious to why there is little talk about Mordok's Tome from the Unholy Tides Organized Play Kit #3 . This card give the owning Mage a serious advantage. Anyone else think this too?

Mordok's Tome - Equipment - Tome
School = Arcane
Spell Level = 1
Mana Cost = 5
Action Type = QuickCast
Range = 0-2
Spell Target = Mage
Equipment Location = Weapon or Shield

Legendary - Arcane Mage Only
Mage may chose one additional spell during the Planning Phase. This gives him an additional spell choice each round (it does not give him an additional spell action).

I've not heard of it until now.

It's incredibly awesome though. And I want one.

My emphasis.

That is why there is little talk about it. I imagine most players have never heard of it.

I'd buy one for a dollar.

I'd never use it, waste of an action, a slot and some mana points.

It won't be talked about for a while because there are a lot of folks out there who don't understand how much of an advantage planning an extra card gives you. I use it in my earth wizard to great effect, as I can always hold up seeking/Battle fury. It's an incredible card.

Better than a mage wand + elemental wand combined. For the same mana.

Wow...is that for real? If so...amazing. Preparing three spells a turn is a big deal. That kind of flexibility can't be overstated.

Must have.

Where is the release information regarding this?

IDK, I run "melee" heavy builds so I *always* have a POCKET SPELL (Teleport(counter-teleport) mostly).

Meaning 1 card is melee support or summon and the 2nd card is a floater. This tome gives me a 2nd "floater?" So, two cards I probably might not even cast this turn as I melee alongside my summons?

MEH!

I might not even dissolve this equip and STILL break the enemy's bones with my Morning Star (1H; unavoidable).

Read: not scared of books.

Andy, I completely agree. The value of creating flexibility and options is huge (imo). This card will be very tough to play against.
