Does anyone know if the extra cards from the King and Intrigue Player’s Edition are going to be in this set?

Lindsey,

I'm not sure. Thought Hammer says that El Grande Decennial "will include all the expansions." If these extra cards you mention were part of that expansion than I would guess they'll be included, but I don't know much about the game, except for the fact that I really really want it, hehe.

The Player’s Edition cards were extras for the King and Intrigue variant, but weren’t included with the English “El Grande Expansions” set.

Hmm, you pose a difficult question then, one to which I unfortunately cannot provide an answer shake

I was going to create a new posting for this, but basically I had the same question.

I currently own El Grande, as well as the Expansion set. But I vaguely remember reading somewhere (and I could be wrong about this) that the Expansion set didn't in fact include all the expansions.

With that in mind, does the decennial simply repring El Grande as well as the Expansion set, or does it include the additional expansion material as well?

And again, I very well may be wrong about the expansion set not including all the epxansions; maybe I'm thining of a different game.

Just to be clear, in case my question comes across as too whiny — It sounds like a very nice 10th anniversary edition regardless of whether it has a few extra cards. Really I’m just curious if there’s going to be an extra extra with the set. (I’ve never played King the Intrigue version myself, so I don’t even know how the additional cards would affect the game.)

For anyone curious what extra cards we’re talking about, the BGG page for the cards is here:

This is straight off of the RGG website:

"This Decennial version also contains the expansions previously known as Intrigue & the King, Grand Inquisitor & the Colonies, and Grandissimo.

In Intrigue & the King, each player has 18 or 28 cards that replace the action cards from the basic game. Before the game begins, each player chooses 13 cards to be his action/priority deck for the game. The players use these cards instead of the action a nd priority cards in determining turn order and special actions. Grand Inquisitor & the Colonies adds four new regions, the Grand Inquisitor, and new action cards to support these additions. The new action cards are in two new stack, giving players seven options on each turn instead of the five from the basic game. By combining the two, you can play The King & the Colonies. In this game, you use the action/priority cards from Intrigue & the King, and the new regions, the Grand Inquisitor, and the new action cards supporting them from Grand Inquisitor & the Colonies.

Grandissimo adds a ship, jail, Portugal, the Grand Inquisitor, the Queen, the Jester, and new action cards in two new stacks to support these additions."

It doesn't say if the Player's Edition cards will be included, but it is interesting to note that Grandissimo will be included. This was another expansion not sold as part of the expansions box.

You can always try emailing RGG. They're usually responsive to emails.
