Scratch all that other stuff...this is the official method we are using to score the matches, rather than just count win/losses.
Winner scores 100 points.
Loser scores points of used pieces (1 to 6 points depending on the piece).
Draw...Given the odds of having a Draw game are so minute (actually less than 1%), we just don't count it at all.
Wanted to review the scoring procedures and make a change considering how the game plays. First, since an average game typically uses just under half of the blocks, it would be easier to score just the ones used instead of counting not used pieces. Second, reduce and simplify the score for each piece...1 point per block space (ex. a BLOCK is 1, BEAM is 3, a BRIDGE is 6...).
And lastly, final score is calculated easier...the losing player takes their used blocks score minus 96. The winner does the same, but then adds the losers original score to their total.
LOSER gets 96 points minus lets say 54 points for the used blocks, final score is 42.
WINNER gets 96 points minus 63 points in pieces used, for a total of 33. The Winner then adds in the Losers 54 points for a final score of 87.
