Subject: Mythos influence? rss

Out of curiosity, just how much of an influence is the Cthulhu mythos an influence on the game theming? So far, at most it looks like the Encounter tokens are tentacles, and a statue on a card could possibly be Cthulhu if you squint at it. Is that typical, or just an "Easter Egg" cameo? I know either answer could be both a pro and a con. (Mythos fans seem to be a pretty reliable market vs. People suffering Cthulhu-fatigue - probably the only thing more common now is zombies. whistle)
