Welcome to Civilization PBF game #80!

This will be a game of a selfcreated Variant with four players, and the following rules:

The game will utilize the new alternative tiebreaker variant and several additional variants which are detailed below.

Orders, notifications and all other correspondence will be done in the thread. Of course you are welcome to send me additional conditional orders via PM. (You can send me (Pre-)Orders per PM also but interference with other orders must be solved nonetheless)
Tabeltalk will be done in the thread! No private messaging!

Each player will have his own thread with his map and his exploration at that given point, he only can interact with players he met, all diplomatic talk will done via pm's to the moderator, who will forward your messages. At the end of each turn you get a point ranking (calculated by the tie breakers) from all players to keep track whom you have to seekout. This might take longer to play, but really simulates the Civilization Game. You must be willed to play a longer game on a slightly bigger and spherical map of civilization, with random starting positions, if you are willed to join this moderation!

You are not allowed to peek into the threads of other players, you may only subscribe and read into your own game-board-thread. All diplomatic talk will be delivered to your threat from the moderator. (4 subgames, 1 for each player)


Please plan to check in at least once a day. If you're going away and can't check in for a few days, please let us know ahead of time.

In deference to FFG, I will not be posting card text from the game in the forum. You will need a copy of the game to play.

In the interest of saving time, please make good use of mailing me Conditional Orders.

This game will use a complete new set of level 0 techs, additional lvl 1-3 techs and a different setup including complete altered civilizations!



This will be a Fame and Fortune game with the following variants

- EftA changed to
1 = +1 culture card limit
2 = -1culture per advance, and +1 culture card limit
4 = -2culture per advance, and +1 culture card limit

- Coin on Railroads instead of Metalcasting

- No Relics, the possibility of tiles in multiples.

- Leonidas only works while defending

- This modding will utilize the new upcoming Unit system and combat system, units now have a health and attack value, varying from
4A/6H, 5A/5H, 6A/4H on lvl 4
3A/5H, 4A/4H, 5A/3H on lvl 3
2A/4H, 3A/3H, 4A/2H on lvl 2
1A/3H, 2A/2H, 3A/1H on lvl 1
0A/3H, 1A/2H, 2A/1H on lvl 0
(5 units of each type)

aircraft has:
5A/7H
6A/6H
7A/5H
(2/4/2 units of this type)

CV is calculated by Maximum health of all remaining units - wounds suffered + Combat surpluses


12) Tie-break special rule :

Culture Victory :

The lvl 1 steps of the Culture track now cost 4 Cultures and 1 trades.

Economic Victory:

The Economic Victory is reached at 18 Coins.

Military don't overwin other kinds of victory. It goes like other kinds to tie-break. The point is that a player that haves lost his capital will not take part to the tie-break (even if he achieved a kind of victory and even a military one but this case never happen yet; the player can still use his troops untill the end of the turn and destroy another player capital, but will not go for tie-break as he doesn't have his capital anymore). Of course, in a 2 players game Military always won over other kind of victory, except if the player that haves lost his capital destroys the opponent capital in the same turn but this case haves like 0.1% chance to happen.

+1 point for each tech
+1 point for each step on the culture track
+1 point for each coin
+0.5 point for each combat bonus (3 barracks gives you +3. Invests in Mic do also count.)
+1 point for each non-blockaded and non-destroyed wonder (so, only obsoleted and non-obsoleted).


I will not invite people, first come, first serve
please say which color you want to play, civs will be random 2, choose 1.

When you wrote : "The possibility of tiles in Multiples." What does that mean exaclty ?

That you will draw the same tile twice or even more ?

Can we know how much tiles will be in play ? Or is this information hidden ?

What would be nice is to not know the other Civ randomly picked by other players. But only know them when you meet them.
I suppose this was your intention ? ^^ But just to be sure.

We will also have to rule how HBR ability will work.
Like :

You can only send the kickback to a Civ you alerady met. If you didn't met any Civ all Civ will get 2 trades from Kickback.
Or
You send the kickback randomly to one of the Civ and don't care about the fact you've met this Civ or not.

Yes tiles might occur more than once

Total number of tiles is hidden

Civs are hidden until discovered

You can only target explored objects with cards, abilities and alike.

You may give 6 trade to a player you met with hbr or 2 to all players (except youself)

You may trade partial or all map knowledge with other players as a new trade option (such as revealing other players, give out diplomatic contacts to other players met, give tile knowledge, etc.)

As i have to agree to itchi about the cultural and economical superiority on such maps, i will implement his rule idea also:

Culture :

The lvl 1 steps of the Culture track now cost 4 Cultures and 1 trades.

Coin :

The Economic Victory is reached at 18 Coins.

I thought you would do everything by message.
And each player build his own territory like a moderator when you give us the information of the tiles etc.

I will be honest and only check my thread. Hope eveerybody will do so ^^.

Oh yeah and a question about Resource harvesting ?

Are they limited like before (4 of each) ?

If yes, do you give us a status of how many resource are left in the market at each end of turn ?

I will do all moderations, no worries, I hope you can trust eachother to not check the threads of the other people since it would ruin the game, there is sadly no way to give access to a thread to only limited persons, so the trust factor is the most important one here.

What about Education, Globalization, Trinket, Diplomacy. So every tech or card (Exchange of ideas) that target another player ?

You can't use them since you don't meet another civ ? Or does it work randomly like HBR ?

dont worry about that too much, you will meet other players soon enough to use the techs, but you need to have met at least one other civ.

Another specific things will be the Great Library.
The problem is that you don't know the other tech researched by other players.
Maybe retain 2 trades per players that have the tech will be easier to handle. (so you can research and have the surprise of getting more trade for next turn).
