Suddenly a shot rang out! A door slammed. The maid screamed. Suddenly a pirate ship appeared on the horizon! While millions of people were starving, the king lived in luxury. Meanwhile, on a small farm in Kansas, a boy was growing up.

I don't have it in front of me, but what about the die in Glen More?

Barring that, some Heroscape or MonPoc dice might have the correct face distribution (but obviously not the right numbers on the faces)

The white die in Quicksand is blank, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, and could easily have a 1 added to the blank side.

Thanks! Glen More is correct, the image gallery says (http://boardgamegeek.com/image/735840/glen-more), and Quicksand sounds hopeful, too.

Both are pretty cheap, too.

You could always get blank dice from Boards & Bits and sticker them.

Or a thrift store. Lots of games, including Yahtzee Jr, have indented dice.

I thought I had one in my spares; unfortunately not. The closest fit was three 1s, a 2, a 3 and a 0. Sorry.

IIRC Super Dungeon Explore has dice with three 1-star, two 2-star and one 3-star side.

Get a standard die and apply some white out to it:

123456
121213

On the six, you'd white out three dots total, leaving three dots remaining in a nonstandard pattern. Not quite correct, but unfortunately there are only three center pips available and you need four to represent three ones and a three.

Or, if you want, you could just use a basic die, and apply a simple legend.

Like, play odd and even, with 6 being 3.

Odds - 1,3,5 = 1

Evens - 2,4 = 2

High Roll - 6 = 3

ninja Ooh, just like that whiteout idea above

Sorry, I don't know of an exact match. Like everyone else, here's my suggestion for a close substitute: Cyclades has a couple of dice with faces 0,1,1,2,2,3. You'd just have to count the 0s as 1s.

My old copy of Bowl Bound has it exactly inverted - you could count the 3's as 1's and vice versa.

Nate, I've bought blank dice before--not indented for stickering, but totally blank--at educational supply stores. I think you could just write the numbers on one with a Sharpie and be in business.

I suggest a blank die and either sharpie or stickers.

Or, if this is a riddle, I guess a d12 matches the description. There's a side with "1" and another with "11", which gives you three 1s. Then there's a side with "2" and another with "12", which gives you two 2s. Then there's a side with "3", which of course gives the one 3.

The "12" side gives you another 1, but here I rely on ambiguity in English and note that five 1s does provide three 1s. But if a dodgy move like that is allowed, a d20 or d30 also answers the riddle.

But it's probably not a riddle.
