Is there a list somewhere with these?

How would I find them (not obvious looking at code)?

The emoticons I know you can get by right-click & "copy image address" with your browser. That is how I got GG coin.

There were some identified for "Forum Editor" in wiki page Forum Editor. I snapped images of the rest. The real looking buttons are probably generated by the code and don't exist as image files.

--------
Edit noticed that red box with white X is 16x16 microbadge size. I'll look there...

----
Edit didn't see anything there.

right-click & "copy image address" works for domain buttons on front page as well.

For example:

Green tick icon

http://geekdo-images.com/images/icons/silkicons/tick.png

which gives me an idea! Here is chart of silk icons. Unlikely BGG would have changed names. So loaction of them at BGG would be:
http://geekdo-images.com/images/icons/silkicons/
and the name would be from the chart.

Looking at the code, it's kind of weird. Here's the background image (seen in my above post) for the thumb element:

url('http://cf.geekdo-images.com/icons/tileicon_0_25.png');

Then, it needs to position it right which it does with this:
background-position: -304px -48px;

I'm not exactly sure why it's done that way instead of a bunch of little images but I'm sure there's a good reason.

The overhead for downloading a tiny image can be more than the image itself. Here's the request just for your Blood Bowl fan microbadge:

And that's not even counting all the IP and TCP headers and acks.

Reducing server load and bandwidth.

Each image, as small as it might be, is a separate download. Combining often used icons in one image reduces the strain.

The most owned microbadges are stored in a similar image, to be downloaded with a single request:

With a site like BGG it is amazing how many complicated tweaks are used to maximize performance. The tweaks making maintaining the code much more complex. Not to mention the fiddling around that has to be done to determine if a tweak is better or worse. From the outside looking in you don't see this complexity. Most users have never been with a large coding project to understand.

I was a tester, coder, then project manager for a large project. I'll not post an image of my scarred back from all the flogging.
