If you're worried about giving too much of your game away, release a cut-down version as a print-and-play.

Publishers generally don't look for games that already have artwork, so if keeping your artwork in the game was important to you, it would probably be better to self-publish via kickstarter. Carta mundi or panda should be much more cost effective than the game crafter, and you can limit production to exactlyish the number of copies ordered.

Welcome to the BGG.

Describe the gameplay. Baser mechanics. Theme if any.

At some point you may want to toss out a PNP version for real playtesting as its likely you have been using local groups or family for playtesting. You really need a broader spread of total strangers to see things that friends dont.

etc.

Games are automatically copyrighted. (Except the mechanics which cannot be copyrighted.) Barring a few countries that have really dodgy copyright rules. And in those cases you cant do anything about or even prevent it it even if they did care to.
