When drawing cards for a new round there are the 2 office cards, then you draw 2 more than the number of players from the person/building deck. After determining the gold coins for points (cannot remember the name) how do you decide which 2 cards are removed from the 4 that were drawn? Do you look at them first then decided between you which ones to discard or always discard the 2 to the left etc etc.

Edit: games are always 2 player (so 4 cards drawn)

Yes, the rules say to remove the last two (no matter how awesome they are). I don't even look at them anymore.

you only have to discard cards with less than 4 players, right?

Right. Six cards are drawn each turn (four cards and two offices.) One card is discarded for every player less than four (one card with three, two cards with two).

[Of course, since each player can only choose one card, the remaining cards will also be removed from play. In a sense, this means that two cards are always "discarded" after everyone has chosen their card. But that is not what this thread is discussing.]

This is not strictly right. Each turn you draw four cards as well as the 2 office cards. Then you discard one in a 3-player game and 2 in a 2-player game.

You only draw "2 more than the number of players" in the beginning of the game, before the rounds start.

If you always drew 2 more cards than the number of players each turn, then the gold/prestige track for a four-player game would be impossibly high.
