I am considering purchasing this expansion, but could someone summarize what the new rule additions are? There is no specific information in the game's description on the home page. I don't think simply having a different map would warrant buying this expansion. Thanks in advance!

The most interesting addition that can be used for any map are the City Rotors, but for the most part the expansions are primarily for people who want more maps.

Like other maps there are different terrain challenges. Western US is very mountainous. It also, however, comes with fuel depots which allow for longer deliveries (e.g. Eastern and Western US side by side) and city rotars that have dials you turn thus changing the color goods that can be delivered to it. Both of these additions can be played with other maps.

Agreed with those above. Additional maps are just that a different map with a different set of challenges.

That being said this map does provide a few things that you can use on other maps as well.
