I started learning how to play this game and , as I always do, I went through all the components. One thing caught my eye: my copy of the game has 4 starting building cards and 46 regular building cards, while the rulebook states, that I should have 6 Starting Building cards and 44 regular building cards.
I still have 50 Building Cards in total, but, as I understand, two of my regular building cards should be starting building cards instead.

Is it just a misprint in the rulebook or my copy of the game has a printing error and I don't have a normal set of cards?

Write to warehouse@rpgshop.com and we'll send you need copies of the 2 starting cards. Though they are not exact matches they have an obvious back to them.

Apparently this is no longer true as I emailed and was told that I have to go through Minion directly here:

http://www.miniongames.com/manhattan-project-replacement-sta...

The replacement cards are $0.01 but it's a minimum of $6.00 shipping which is ridiculous.

I'm tempted to order 600 sets which would double the cost for me, but be really efficient for shipping. Alternatively if anyone else needs some of these and wants to split the shipping cost, I'll order them and remail your set to you.

I think we fixed the first class mailing on the site right before GenCon. When did you attempt?

Also warehouse@rpgshop.com, RPGShop.com, Minion Games, Game Universe, etc... are all me and all the same owner. They are just trying to cut down on all the manual/direct request for replacement cards by having you use the shopping cart online. You should be able to use FIRST CLASS SHIPPING. If it fails, tell them and they'll manaully handle it for you.

DO NOT buy extra cards then you and a couple friends or your local store need. It's fine to get a couple sets and spread them around, but not 20+ as we will not ship that.

The only option to select is "USPS Priority Mail (Recommended) (2-5 days) - $6.00"

I don't want to put the order through with that selected as I suspect I will get charged the $6.00 up front and then I'll have to deal with trying to get a refund on the shipping cost.

Personally I think this is bad customer service. Every other company I've ever dealt with has responded to a customer service email to replace defective parts without anything else needed. I've never before been forced to purchase a replacement for a defective item much less pay shipping on it. This is just throwing up roadblocks in the process and is leaving a very bad taste in my mouth.

Just email warehouse@rpgshop.com and they'll get them sent to you. We normally do send out parts all the time free of charge. Hell we break open new copies of games that we can't sell anymore just to supply replacement parts. The only reason these are being charged for is that we don't have enough for everyone and cause they are really not needed. There is nothing wrong with the game if those cards just have a different backing. You put them face up to start the game on the board anyway.

Also please note that these cards are NOT a 100% match, they are taken from the 3rd printing and so will be more glossy and have a slightly tighter corner. So they will be easier to pull out to start the game but they still look a little different then the first cards. We just don't have any replacements for the first edtion as the printer would never caugh it up - which is one of the many reason we went to anther printer.
