We tried playing with the new events, and immediately got stuck when we drew this one first:

Quote:
A Scout at the Entrance!
Immediately discard one trap to catch him, or your dungeon gets explored: during this year's Combat, fatigue on the combat card is halved (round down.) Mark explored dungeons with a food token on the fatigue step.

So we just couldn't figure out what this "exploring" was all about. It sounds bad with fatigue being halved for the round, but are rooms still conquered as normal? If so, why is it necessary to mark the rooms with a food token? Are the food tokens taken from your own food bank, or do you take them from the general supply?

You dont put food tokens on the rooms, you just take one from the supply and put it on the fatigue step of the combat turn sequence at the top of your player board. This is to remind you that when it gets to the combat part at the end of the year, all fatigue is halved.

It basically means that a scout has sneaked in and already explored your dungeon, so then it is much easier for the adventurers to conquer it come the end of the year.
