I enjoy playing Mansions of Madness with that it has PUZZLES!!! Now Descent is in its 2nd edition and it doesn't come with puzzles?! Or least riddles and it doesn't come with it. So sad. Is FFG coming out with an add-on for puzzles? If not, I am trying to find a riddle book suitable for this world. I have one but it is for Forgotten Realms. Anyone know of a riddle book for Runebound or at least a riddle book in neutrality that it can be used with any game?

Just cuz your precious game sucks doesn't mean you have to mock the OP...

Mike, there aren't any puzzle 'mechanics' but that doesn't mean they don't have different puzzle like situations. The first expansion introduced a secret chamber that has a hint of that. There are also quests that can have puzzle like elements (find this token, match to that rune, etc). Unfortunately, since the quests are open knowledge to everyone, any puzzle introduced via quests would not be riddle like, but rather mix/match like you see in Mansion of Madness. So no Sphinx riddles, just token movement and matchings.

For what it's worth, the Labyrinth of Ruin expansion introduces quests with very light puzzle mechanics, like trying to balance scales with different weights. That said, Descent really doesn't lend itself to any sort of really awesome puzzles.

For that, I highly recommend the recent PC indie game The Swapper. After playing something like this, I can't really imagine Descent (or any board game, really) doing anything nearly as satisfying.

You mis-step, you lose, is pretty puzzly, in an Indiana Jones way imo.
Most quests have aspects of that.
