I'm loving this game with my family. I've played with both a 9 and a 13 year old. They really enjoyed it. I think it is a great introduction to tableau building games such as Race for the Galaxy.

One of the things that I have noticed is that the Thinker Cavemen are all named after famous philosophers. I haven't figured them all out, but I will share the ones I've identified.

Spoiler (click to reveal)

Aru = Aristotle?
Bato = ????
Buva = Beauvoir
Daykar = Descartes
Fuko = Foucault
Kan = Kant
Lok = Locke
Neecha = Nietzsche
Ruso = Rousseau
Vitkin = Wittgenstein

I can't find any similar naming device for the hunters, elders or explorers. Anybody else?

Well spotted! I'll have to take a look at my set later and see if I can add anything to that list.

I think there is something similar going on with the wanderers- I think they are named after famous explorers:

Drak - sir francis drake (pretty confident about this one)
Vez - Vasco de gama
Lea - Leif erikson
Bolo - Joseph Renee bello
Jalan - Friar Julian

Could be wrong though. What do you think?

I thought about Drak and Drake, but couldn't make a connection for the others. Vez and Lea definitely sound like good possibilities also.

On second thought, I think Vez is Amerigo Vespucci

The elders seem to be named after the founders of religions.

Bu=Buddha
Je=jesus/jehovah
Ab=Abraham
Mohe=Mohammed

Very very good guesses!

As I said on the game's Facebook page a while ago, all of the Hunters are named after famous warriors, some fictional, some historical.

And themanfromsaturn is spot on with how I came up with the names of the elders.
