Hi,

Was playing tonight & while there is nothing wrong with the out the box cardboard monsters, I was wondering if anyone has tried to make or use miniatures with the game?

It could be as simple as a normal monster with the the three pronged base and you end up rotating it (so eventually he isn't facing your tower) or more awesome where it is three faced so he progressively gets more damage & aggression and the side faces the tower?

I also see a problem in that you'd need to draw a token out of the bag, then find the appropriate miniature.

Robert, hi --

When we play, I take out my LOTR GW miniature figures (you could use Heroclix or LOTR TMG ones, too) and the square bases on my GW goblin minis sit nicely on the triangles while still revealing the number stat. The big bosses are replaced: The LOTR cave troll is the Orc Warlord; Sauramon is the Healer, the Witch King is the goblin king, or however you would do it.

For added LOTR theme, I put heroes behind each wall (or they even replace wall sections) like Aragon, Gandalf, Legolas, etc. so they are defending their circular center and if a wall goes, its corresponding hero falls.

But you can theme it up with any D&D minis.
