So, the rule say that you can sell goods in Marseilles.
But, how to do it?
1) A transport arives. Unload the goods an place a seal on them. (There isn't a domus in Marseilles to hold the goods)
2) In the next market phase, sell those goods. (The rules say only goods from domi can be sold. But again, there isn't one in Marseilles.)
3) Where does the money go? To the player board? By a stricht reading of the rules, it goes to the non-existent Domus in Marseilles. And if there isn't one, they must be put on the country with a seal on them. But, how do I get the money in this case? Put it on a transport and ship it to a domus I own? Or to the holy land? Or what?
I'm at a loss here.

Hi Peter,
Everything you said is correct.

You can sell goods in Marseille, and since you have not a Domus the money will stay in Marseille with your seal. You could move them with a Knight or any other transport to the closest Domus you own.

Thank you!
(But it basically means that it costs you money for the seal and time/money to get the money elsewhere to sell in Marseilles. Does not look very promising to me)

Marseille is just the starting harbour for trade. Of course it's far from perfect and this is why it's so interesting for players to buy their own estates in provinces.

Once the other provinces become active: Can you only sell goods store in a domus, or can you sell goods stored under a seal in a territory ín that province?

Again, a very interesting question.
If the latter, can you sell goods under a seal even without owning a domus there?

You need a domus to store and sell goods - the only exception is Marseille where everybody can sell goods without owning a domus. At least this is how I read the rules.

You don't need a domus to store goods.
They could be stored under a seal in every province a transport stops.
As for selling: The rules say you can sell goods from a domus...
