I haven't played any Crimean War games but one that has an interesting game-system and also has appealing graphics is SPI's old game Sevastopol, which deals with the British/French siege of that Russian city.

GDW's _Crimea_ was a decent game (but did not wow me), as I recall, and is pretty well regarded in the few BGG comments it has.

Decision Games did two S&T games on the war more recently. Do BGG searches on "Crimean" and "Crimea".

There is some discussion over at ConsimWorld about the SPI Crimean War Quad.

I have not tried it, but the comments there seem positive.

Also, if you search here for Alma or Balaclava you will have some luck.
