I believe that the number of credits and number of cards in hand are public information, as is the number of cards in any server and the appropriate discard piles, but is the number of cards in either deck public knowledge, or do you have to eyeball it? It's not going to be a common occurrence, but I had a situation where I could install enough viruses to trash 3 cards, but if my opponent had 4 cards, he may have been able to win the game. If I know he has 3, I will act differently than if I think he has 3.

Does that all make sense? I looked through the rulebook and the FAQ, but I didn't see anything. I could have missed it, so I ask those of you who have it all memorized.

Typically I would expect this to be public information, but I don't know if there is anything official regarding this.

I'm also trying to find where the other information is listed as public, in case it's right there, but I can't seem to find that either.

From the new tournament rules:

Quote:
Open Information
The number of cards in a player’s hand or deck, and the number of credits in his credit pool, are open information.

Thank you!

I figured it would be in either the rules or the FAQ. Why would you put something that occurs in any game in the Tournament rules?

shake

Thanks again!

Because every game is a Tourney, a 'Tourney of Life' so to speak, and our greatest opponent is ourselves?

I'll let myself out.

Your greatest opponent is your sense of humor!

Sorry, had to.
