Since Derk posted that scientific conjecture on energy and physics a few weeks back, and others post here about what they're reading, I thought I'd give a nod to a blog I discovered not too long ago --
bit-player.org: a daily blog about lightly math- and computer-related topics by a contributor to Scientific American.

I particularly liked the recent article "Life after Algebra" (http://bit-player.org/2006/life-after-algebra) since I have a fondness for algebra and calculus myself.
