Since Mario was sad that he could participate in our last Egyptian gaming night we offer him to play Amun Re.
Even if we were 4 players the bids were very low during the first rounds. As in the last game Martin had a great start and he had the lead after the first scoring. The other 3 players (Marc-André, Mario and Pierre) were almost tied. Martin was also in a good position for the last round since he had many action cards and much money to spend. As expected he had enough money to build many pyramids , specially in one area where he had 5 pyramids. He was so confident with the scoring of this area that he decided to steal in the last round of bidding so other players would not score much with their farmers. Marc decided to gamble and he bet high and won the bid and place 3 blocks in one of his area so he had more pyramids than Martin. During this time , Pierre didn't have to bid high and was able to build 2 sets of pyramids in each of his area and many of his action cards paid in the final scoring.
Again comments were great for Amun Re. The game was very close all the time and we couldn't tell who would win. We like Amun Re with his deep strategy and almost no luck. Even if it seems there is some luck with special cards you have to pay for them and during the time you buy these cards, you're not buying farmers or pyramids.
