The History channel's "UFO Files" is running several episodes back to back this Sunday. (That's the USA's History channel.) Most of the UFO stuff on TV is more than a little silly, and even many of the UFO files episodes are eminently missable, in my pompous opinion. But at least two of them are worth watching:

Canada's Roswell is about Shag Harbor, Nova Scotia, on October 4, 1967. Many locals saw it, and reportedly, one investigator has discovered a huge paper trail, records of radio conversations that night, all sorts of stuff. Two experienced airplane pilots filed a UFO report, for example. Apparently, at least two craft went into the water and traveled several miles underwater. They parked right on top of a secret detection grid for Russian submarines, and a flotilla of US warships parked on the surface on top of them. Reportedly, one diver claimed the second craft was "rendering assistance" to the first, meaning aliens were coming and going from one craft to the other. Then a Russian sub came too close, and the flotilla took off to chase it away, at which point the alien crafts also surfaced and left. (airs at 4 pm ET)

UFOs and the White House Airs at 2 pm ET.
