Yamanish provided a helpful play tip of making 2 stacks of 8 cards, to indicate the last 16 cards of the draw pile. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/3045 This lets you know approximately how many cards are left without having to count. My wife and I have taken this one step farther. We place the 8 cards one slightly lower than the next, in a tiered arrangement, so the exact number in the stack is immediately apparent. I have up-loaded a picture of this arrangement, but haven't gotten word if it has been accepted yet.

Ooh a little higher, now a bit to the left, a little more, a little more, just a bit more. Oooh yes, that's the spot!

You should post the link to your image. We just put the last 10 cards perpendicular to the stack.

We use a Canasta rule of turning just the 10th card from the bottom sideways.
