Should the Recon card be removed before play, when only playing with one marine player?

If the single marine player, gets the recon card in their draw; then all they have to do is run around until the find the exit. I've seen this happen twice.

That's it?

Doesn't seem all that powerful. I mean, sooner or later, they WILL backtrack to where you've spawned 8 million guys in wait.

Well, with the marine's ability to sprint and the limited supply of 'Charge' cards in the Invader deck, this makes it real difficult to win as the Invader under these circumstances.

So, let the marine finish the first scenario, then graduate him to the second scenario, and the third. IIRC, in the third scenario, you need to defeat a cyberdemon and his offsiders. By the time Recon guy gets there, having just run past all the invaders in the earlier scenarios, he will be fairly underpowered due to having killed so few creatures in the earlier scenarios.

Also, it's not like you can't spread out your invaders enough that a marine who isn't killing them off on a regular basis just can't get away from them all. On top of that, Recon doesn't negate Watchful. If you block his path with demons (and maggots from the expansion), he will still be getting attacked twice for every demon he run through.

Sure, for a single marine, Recon might be a nice ability, but it is one less marine card devoted to killing invaders.
