We're very excited to let you know about our 2 day boardgaming event at the Melbourne Chess Club (66 Leicester Street, Fitzroy 3065). Doors will open at 10am and will be playing through to 10pm (perhaps even later).

Bring your own games, play the games of others or use one of the games in the NSEG games library!

We'll be providing more details (or any changes to the above) soon.

Edit: We're even more excited to let you know that MeepleCon change of days to a later weekend in order to join forces with ConVic (XII)!

I'm sorry guys but a Tardis is sooooo 50 years ago. All the best time travellers use a DMC-12 Delorean....its the only way to get "back to the future" cool

Oh you should have been there... but just so we're all clear, Meeplecon itself time travelled to the 30th of November and 1st of December 2013. Then it merged with Convic XII.

It was great. If only you had a time machine and could travel then! Wait! You do! Wanna come along?

It does indeed. You don't need to reprogram your GPS, just your time co-ordinates.

Hello all,

Glad to see ConVic is going ahead in some form. My problem is my recollection is parking is terrible in this area. Are there options that I am unaware of, realize I am coming from Werribee so driving is my only real option. Thanks,

Mark T.

Hi Mark,

You're right, Fitzroy can be a pain to park in. But the Melbourne Chess Club have a handy list of parking spots on their site here. Which one you go for depends on how far you are willing to walk and when you're planning on arriving (numbers 4 and 5 are unrestricted on Saturday and Sunday).

Understatement? I thought Fitzroy was the indigenous word for 'inability to park within walking distance of anything I'm going to.'

....without making a sizeable donation to the local government charity for the illiterate and incapable of interpreting deliberately confusing parking signs.

There's nothing confusing about the parking signs in Fitzroy. They don't actually need any, because you can never get a park!
