Lately it seems that the character encoding on BGG is messed up. The pages have no encoding specified (in either the headers or the file itself), which makes them default to Latin-1, but I see a lot of characters coming through that look like they are UTF-8 encoded. See the thread http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/103276 for an example.

If the content-type header were just "text/html;charset=UTF-8" that would clean things up a lot. Setting the reply content character set to be UTF-8 as well would make sure that submitted content matched the web pages.

For BGG output it now seems fixed in most places, but sometimes theres still a problem.

For example, a thread title for TtR:Marklin (with an umlaut over tha "a") is now displayed OK when on page 1 of the GamesForums+ thread list, but when it drops to page 2, the "a" displays badly again.
