It has been a long time since we wanted to play Goa. We tried it last year and we loved it but we couldn't find the right time or the right players to play it again. There were 4 players for this game, Nathalie, Pierre, Marc-André and Martin
Marc and Nathalie were very successful at the beginning of the game and were able to win some good plantations at a good cost. At the end of the bid for A tiles, Martin and Pierre were last with only 1 game tile of plantation. Nathalie had the 4 kinds of spice on her board and she seemed way ahead of us.
For the second part of the game Nathalie was still very agressive and she won many important game tiles but she had some difficulties to upgrade her development board. In the last round rounds of bidding Marc-André showed us he was still the king of Goa and was able to combine good game tiles and win free action with the development of his progress board.
Goa is still great for players who like games with lots of bids. We had the same good feeling than our first games and we'll try it again soon. Our next games will be better since we will be better to evaluate the value of the game tiles.
