Just wanted to post my cheap solution for storing Dominion cards... It is pretty inexpensive and would work for just about any card game. The base concept is nothing new: use a baseball storage box with dividers. The only difference is using the divider stickers I made.

Using a standard baseball card storage box and my divider labels, you can easily make dividers out of anything you'd like. For an inexpensive solution, just cut 4x6 inch blank index cards in half to get two 3x4 inch dividers. The stickers are laid out to print right onto Avery 2x4 inch labels, so you can slap those on and you are all set. There is also room in the rows for small plastic boxes to hold tokens or other game pieces.

In all, these are the materials I used (for about 2000 cards):
- Avery 5163 labels: http://amzn.com/B00004Z6LV
- BCW Shoe Box: http://amzn.com/B000K41E56
- Blank 4x6 inch index cards: http://amzn.com/B005EDXAFK

Some options for materials:
- BCW Dividers save cutting time and are more durable: http://amzn.com/B005LIF20O
- BCW Monster Box allows for all expansions: http://amzn.com/B000K41E6K
- The BCW card sorting tray makes a great play mat: http://tinyurl.com/lqwb92j

Thanks to xBino for providing the inspiration and great photos to get me started on this. And thanks to the comments here for helping to improve my solution!

I think you left an h off the index cards link.

Probably cutting that inch off of the index cards is the biggest drawback for this system, but it should work well. That monster box will be quite heavy if someone has all of the card sleeved as I do. But I could see using two boxes.

Thanks for noticing the typo...

As far as cutting the cards goes, you can also use card dividers from BCW or UltraPro. They are more expensive, but would save the cut. I'll update my post with the link. I used a paper cutter to get the cards all even and it didn't take much time, but it is one more step. I was definitely going for cheap on this one

I haven't been able to upload an image of this solution... The images are declined as "too similar to other images."

Can you find any of the ones they think are similar as pointers?

3x5 index cards (cut to 3in x 4in)

Would it make more sense to get 4x6 index cards and chop them in half? It seems like that would be faster (2 dividers per cut) and get rid of the 1" wastage.

I'll take a look and see... There aren't any images using the dividers I referenced (since I just made them). I didn't want to mislead people and claim credit for someone else's work. I'll update the post if I find anything.

Excellent point... Not sure why I didn't think of that I'll update my post with this suggestion.

Also, could you upload them into your gallery instead of into the Dominion images library? I don't think that should trigger the "too similar" issue.

Sure enough, that did the trick. I didn't realize there was a separate gallery per user. Thanks for all your help... Hope you have had a chance to look at the labels and provide your feedback there, too
