WarBucks Kickstarter Link: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/singlehelix/warbucks-a-t... - Live until Oct 7, 2013

Print & Play version available at http://WarBucksGame.com

WarBucks is a game of territory control, deck building, and shifting alliances. Your goal to become the most Influential person in the world. Your Influence is measured in the size of your Empire, the capabilities of your army, and how much good you do for the populace.

You'll begin with control of a single Territory and then expand your Empire, leading bold charges or cautiously marshaling your forces, gaining access to increasingly powerful weapons and ever growing armies. You can wage total war or fund great acts of humanitarianism. Victory can be yours through conquest or through self-defense, through politicking or subterfuge, through war or, with great difficulty, through peace.

The artwork is gorgeous, and I am especially excited by what I hope is some sort of Schrödinger physics-bending backback!

But what is going on with the sample cards on the Kickstarter page? They are really dreadful! The layout is uninspired, and the font spacing is off. Text is cut off because you're using italicised text in narrow textboxs (bottom right), and there's a spelling mistake (impassible).

If they're prototype imagery, you need to make that clear! Because right now the KS page gives the impression that this project is run by people who have a great artist, but no graphic design competence and no attention to detail.

I'd very much like that impression not to be true, because I want a soldier with a radioactive catpack.

I love the artwork. I watched the gameplay video, and all I saw was stacks of poker chips jumping around a plain hex grid. Looked like an abstract strategy game. Seemed like the very definition of pasted-on theme. Are the components (other than the cards) going to be relevant to the theme?
