Looking for some 'extra' options for my Natural Disasters Class.
I often end up with time at the end of the term and would like to fill it with some game options (or offer analysis as a project.)

Games I know of or have...

Pandemic

PanGaea

Seismic

The Planet Management Game

The Downfall of Pompeii

Survive: Escape from Atlantis!

What other titles would you suggest??

Chaos in the Old World? I'm only being silly, but by a strictly logical definition, since they definitely do exist in the setting, the destruction of the world by the Chaos gods is indeed a natural disaster.

If Pandemic is allowed, perhaps Rattus would work (black death). Also, is fire too much of a stretch? Flash Point: Fire Rescue

Eruption
Atlantis Rising

CO₂ is about preventing disaster through climate change.

Parthenon: Rise of the Aegean is a great game about planning between natural disasters.

The Swarm is about an ecological disaster under the sea.

Sunken City has a great "atlantian" sinking city feel.

Earthquake (not that I recommend it for your class unless they're very young)

Ablaze! offers some variety though ..

Uruk: Wiege der Zivilisation has 3 bad disasters that could happen in the game, namely volcanic eruption, earthquake, and drought.

+1 Peloponnes. It has, plague, earthquake, drought and tempest.

Spirit Island (an amazing game in my humblest of opinions - where you are spirits of the island trying to drive out settling colonies by way of the environmentals. (Nothing like plaguing the dreams of a population so they fear moving inland to only have another player crash a tsunami upon the coast.

A lighter though glorious game to look at would be Taluva (less disaster more evolution of land. Though I still would prefer a dates peak board game .

All of these though wouldn't be so hot for a class.

Summit is how to mitigate survival on an ascent and descent of a mountain, and it is rather a fun go.

Looks like it's thread necro day.

1849: The Game of Sicilian Railways involves the eruption of Mt Etna which wipes out a city on the board as a normal part of every game.

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned Hotshots. It's a really good co-operative game about fighting forest fires.
