Besides the the standard "Rust Belt" one....

I like ones that offer confrontation- not traffic jams but confrontation.

Hi

Aside from the base game, I think Germany, England and Korea all work well with 5. England is the closest to the base game in terms of mechanics, Korea furthest away. France may also be good with 5, although I've only played with 3.

I don't like the Rust Belt (aka Great Lakes here) with 5. The early game is too unpredictable.

Maps I do like with 5:

North of England is particularly good with 5.

Germany is good with 5, tho I marginally prefer it with 4.

I don't like the Korean map, so will leve that aside.

South of England is Okay with 5, but better with 6.

We played Germany last night with 5. What a mess!! It was great. Game ended in a tie 31, 31. Money broken the tie- I had 1 extra coin than Matt, who had 1 coin. I.E. I had 2.

laugh

Is 31 points awful for Germany?

I suspect that you'll like my AoS: Central America with 5 players (that's the player count it was specifically designed for). It is not a gentle map -- there's a reason companies are allowed to issue up to 25 shares, and a reason that many will frequently get near that.
